High tech breathes new life into aging helicopter fleet

A UH-60L fuselage and operational helicopter were transported from Corpus Christi Army Depot to Wichita State University where researchers at the National Institute of Aviation Research (NIAR) will create a virtual model of the work horse of Army aviation.

The measurement is part of a research project to calibrate particle counters using large aerosol particles in the size range of bacteria, with application to environmental monitors and biological defense sensors.
