REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. - A 3D model of an aircraft searchlight cover was one of the first digital twin parts created by Wichita State University as part of its partnership with the Department of Defense. The additive manufacturing process can be used to create parts that are no longer produced by the original equipment manufacturer for legacy weapons systems.
