Maj. Gen. Tom O’Connor, Jr.

Maj. Gen. Tom O’Connor, Jr. assumed command of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command on Aug. 12, 2022. As the commander, he leads more than 12,000 Soldiers and civilians in providing aviation, missile and test measurement and diagnostic equipment sustainment support to the joint warfighter to enable readiness.

Command Sergeant Major

Command Sgt. Maj. Bradford L. Smith

Command Sgt. Maj. Bradford L. Smith was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and entered the United States Army on Dec. 1, 1993. During his 28-year career he has served in various positions and was most recently the commandant of a noncommmissioned officer academy. He assumed responsibility as the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Command Sergeant Major on August 13, 2021.

Donald R. Nitti

Donald Nitti is the Deputy to the Commanding General, U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command. As the Command’s senior civilian, he manages a multifaceted and diverse organization with an annual budget of over $4 billion and a global workforce of more than 16,000 civilians and Soldiers.

Chief of Staff

Col. Aaron Martin

Col. Aaron Martin assumed duty as the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command Chief of Staff in August 2022. COL Martin graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1998. He was a ROTC distinguished military graduate, originally branched Air Defense Artillery, transferred to Aviation in 2001. He is a native of Ozark, Missouri.

Aviation Branch Maintenance Officer

Chief Warrant Officer 5 Paul McNeill

Chief Warrant Officer 5 Paul I. McNeill is a native of California. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1997 as a Cavalry Scout and attended Warrant Officer Candidate School in 2003. CW5 McNeill is qualified in the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior, LUH-72A Lakota, AH-64D Longbow Apache and AH-64E Guardian Apache, and he has logged approximately 4,000 flight hours.

Missile Maintenance Officer

Chief Warrant Officer 4 John D. Hudson

Chief Warrant Officer 4 John D. Hudson assumed the duties as the Air Defense Branch Maintenance Officer assigned to the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) in May 2022. Hudson began his career in the U.S. Army in 2001 as a Patriot Missile Crewmember with 5th Battalion, 7th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, based in Hanau, Germany.
